La Mesa lies directly to the east of the City of San
Diego. The area has grown from a sleepy agricultural community
into a thriving city of 60,000 residents who enjoy its rolling
hills and gorgeous views. The area includes The Grossmont Center,
a major regional mall, and the La Mesa Springs shopping center.
Located in the East of San Diego County, La Mesa sits at an
elevation of about 507 feet and making up part of an area
known as the “Jewel of the Hills”, La Mesa is located 332 miles
southeast of Las Vegas, 124 miles southeast of the metropolitan
area of Los Angeles, and 10 miles East of San Diego. La Mesa
observes an average of 301 days of sunshine per year, with temperatures
in the low 40's to high 70's in the winter months, and low 50's
to low 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer months. La Mesa is
ideally situated only "Five Minutes" from San Diego State University,
and Grossmont Community College.The city operates 14 beautiful
parks, a municipal pool and numerous tennis courts. This gives
all La Mesa residents quite a wealth of recreational choices.

Court Street Square is home to a number of festivals throughout
